The Application Process and Moving In

Your leasing agent has shown you a place you'd like to have as your next home. What happens now?

At Olympus/Nelson, we have a vigorous screening process. Your agent will assist you in filling out your rental application, and once that and your application fee are received in our office, we will begin processing it. We check four variables during the screening process:

  1. Employment History
  2. Credit History
  3. Criminal Background Check
  4. and Rental History.
In some cases, we may require a guarantor.

Once your application has been approved, we will type a lease for you to sign. Then you simply need to pay the security deposit and first month's rent in certified funds (money order or cashier's check) and pick up your keys!

Upon move-in, you will also receive an envelope with information on utility companies, mailing labels for you to use in paying your rent, payment stubs for your rent, a copy of your lease signed by the landlord, and an Inventory and Condition Form. Please note your Inventory and Condition Form needs to be returned to us within 72 hours.

After you're settled, call our office any time for any concerns you have during your tenancy.
